Building Information Modeling (BIM)
BIM technologies help designers and clients visualize concepts in the early phases of a project, while identifying and clarifying construction challenges as designs are refined. BIM enables a more efficient design process than two-dimensional documents and is essential in designing buildings with unconventional design elements such as curved walls. By using BIM at the outset of a project, the design team can illustrate the complexity of the building form and share the model with structureal engineers and other consultants to ensure a fully integrated design.

Model Shop and 3D Prototyping Lab
Our in-house model shop is available to design teams throughout the creative process. Our experienced team of professional model-makers implements traditional modeling skills, advanced machining techniques, and laser-cutting technology to create a wide variety of model types. We consider this capability an integral part of our design process.

3D Renderings
Using state-of-the-art hardware and software our in-house teams have the capacity to produce high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations. From simple concept models and wireframes to high-quality marketing and fundraising renderings, our range of solutions and techniques are highly adaptable and customizable. The Hemicube Society, a Shepley Bulfinch 3D rendering interest group, fosters continual innovation, collaboration, and craft.
