Projects > Design Competitions
Great design is fueled by inspiration. Many of our designers participate in design competitions as a creative outlet for challenges beyond the scope of our current work. We encourage staff to identify these opportunities and provide resources for their efforts, carrying on a tradition begun by H H Richardson. In 1872, his young firm began its rise to international prominence through his successful competition entry for the design of Trinity Church in Boston's Back Bay. Richardson prevailed over five other architects to design one of America's most acclaimed architectural icons.
